Peter (Patrick) was born at Ardachu, Rogart, son of Kenneth Mackenzie and Mary Jenny and grandson of Colin Mackenzie and Barbara Gordon.
Christina is the daughter of George Macdonald and Elizabeth Mackay.
Peter and Christina (Chirsty) married in Rogart on 28 August 1857.
In 1861 they were living at Rhechalmie, Rogart, with Elspet Mackay, Christina’s mother. The 1881 and 1891 census shows Peter, Chirsty, Kenneth and George living at Rhechalmie, where they farmed five acres. Peter died there in 1903 when his death certificate shows him as a crofter. Peter and Christina are buried in Rogart.
They had the following children:

GEORGE MACKENZIE born 9 May 1871 Reidchalmie, Rogart [died 13th May 1928 at The Hotel, Rogart] (DC) [married Elizabeth Ross] – 1861 census with parents
